Brent and Noelle had us for christmas this last year. They bought us a digital picture frame which is fun and Gunnar a ... toy vending machine!? What do you do with one of those besides feed your kid all of the candy that they incuded with it and then never refill it. It occurred to us that we would use it in conjunction with potty training. Perfect! This thing has been a super potty motivator. Doesn't mean that he doesn't have accident and is out of pull ups. It just means that he is working better on it. Every time he goes the bathroom he gets Potty Money. He can be in the store, at grandparent's houses, at our house, at aunties...wherever he is he will get a potty money to use for treats. After all of the holiday candy has passed, we now use starbursts. He loves it and gets so excited to be able to cash his change in.
That is the cutest idea! It looks like Gunnar sure loves it!
I think I will have to try something like that for Summer. She's pretty much ready to start and she's getting excited about sitting on the potty. She'll go in sometimes and sit on the little potty while Autumn is going on the big one.
first of all I love that! that is so cool! second- i can see the dilema with always needing to refill it..... that's great you can use it with potty training. Good luck.
Yes, very creative! I bet he loves getting candy out of there :o) Hopefully soon it will work all the way and then he can be out of pull ups...aaahhhh. But good luck weaning him off the machine! LOL! That one might take a while.
We also have a candy machine. I never thought of using it that way. I might have to when I start potty training William. You are always good at coming up with great ideas.
I know he seems to be forgetting about the money which is great, but if he starts remembering the vending machine could break. I know that sounds awful, but Lizzie and Shad's TV broke a lot! (They unplugged it) :-)
I am a stay at home mom to Gunnar, a 5.5 year old, and a 1 year old named Brecken. I am truly blessed for having them. I am married to the greatest guy named Jeff. He is the best. We will be celebrating our 11th wedding anniversary this November. Boy does time fly. I love to scrapbook and have been lucky enough to sell many of my things on Ebay and Etsy. It has been fun to be able to share my hobby with others. I am also an Independent Consultant with Paparazzi Accessories. I am able to sell trendy, fashionable jewelry and hair pieces at an extremely affordable price. All items are $5.50. Who can beat that!!

Ooh! Nice idea. We're looking for potty motivators, that's a great visual.
