I am in the Young Womens Presidency at church and one of my Beehive's (12 & 13 year olds) dads knows how to rappel and really wanted to take all of our girls to the Black Cliffs to do it. We were excited to go. So off we went. It was so much fun and really, I have no fear for these sorts of things. I was excited and ready to go. It was SOOOO incredibly cold and with the wind it made it really cold but we all tried to stay warm and still had a blast! I am the one in the very back...actually the highest person in the picture. This smaller picture is of the cliffs themselves. Believe it or not there really are two people coming down in that picture. They are half way down the side. Rob (the dad) is wearing army green so impossible to spot but Ann, my friend is wearing a light blue coat, still not that easy to spot. They are exactly in the center of the photo going up and down and side to side.
This was my second time down and I was completely comfortable with the entire thing. I was then able to kick out away from the wall several times and be okay with it.
If you ever have the opportunity to do it, you need to take it. It is extremely fun and well worth it!

I love repelling! I'm the 2nd counselor too. It's a lot of fun! Were I live there aren't any cliffs or mountains, just a river! I MISS BOISE!!!
Kristi this looks like so much fun! Were are these cliffs the view is incredible!
The cliffs are by the Diversion Dam before you get to Lucky Peak. Super close.
Those pictures are AWESOME Kristi! I have to say, I'm totally jealous! It looks like so much fun...I would love to get out and do something adventurous again...it's been WAY too long! Then only thing I'm not jealous about is the cold weather...take that out of the equation and it looks like a perfect day!
Wow, Kristi what an adventure. Great pics too. I'm so glad I got the link to find your blog.
I'd like to try that someday! Looked like you had a blast!
