Twilight Series

Okay so I just had to write about these books now that I have finished all four. I decided to give the first one a try because of what so many people were saying about them. It was a super easy read and wasn't that bad. I wasn't overly obsessed but it wasn't bad enough that kept me from reading more. Also when I start a series it drives me nuts not to finish. I remember reading through the 2nd and 3rd books and not really having an opinion one way or the other. But when I read the 4th it was immediately the dumbest thing that I have read. The book was soooo drawn out and to me the parts where the story was probably supposed to climax were so flat. Seriously this book drug on. And for Bella to name her daughter a mix of her and Edward's mom's names was so stupid. You really want to know what it reminded me of. It reminded me of some very immature teenager trying to come up with some really unique overly strange name for a baby. When really it comes across sounding really stupid. And when I read the part that explained her daughter's middle name (their father's names messed together), it just got me. Now that i think about the book again, all 750+ pages were really flat and a big dissappointment to the entire series.

You may entirely disagree with me and that is perfectly fine. I just wanted to share what I thought since I can. :)

Well...I was uncertain after book three...but I really enjoyed the last book. I found your review of the book quite funny though! Thanks for sharing!

I am so glad to know that because I have not read 1 page of any of the books and so many people think I should read the darn things but I just have rebelled against it. I am glad to know that it would have been a total waste of my time!

LOL! What?!? You mean you aren't going to put up a twilight counter on your blog?!? Kristi, you totally crack me up, even though you might end up getting LOTS of hate comments on this post! My older sister read the books and told me all about them...she has exactly the same opinion as you and that is why I have NEVER and will NEVER read them! We usually have very similar taste in reading material so I trusted her opinion. I just didn't have much desire anyway, and with everyone making such a fuss...it just made me not want to read them even more! Anyway, good for you for standing up for what you think, and thanks for a good laugh :o) P.S. I was looking through your digital scrapbook pages and they are so great! I haven't made any for a looooong time! Thanks for the inspiration!

I didn't enjoy the 4th at all and it pretty much ruined the whole series for me.

Yeah, and the 4th one just tied everything together a little too perfectly. And everyone's really that happy?? And it's a vampire book??

hahaha! I really enjoyed the first three books, but did not like the fourth one either. The name things totally bugged me to.

Totally agree with you, but I was fed up reading after the first book! All dialogue and no real good writing!

I agree with you. First three were pretty good (but I'm by no means obsessed like the rest of the world). Everyone said the last one tied everything together, but I thought it was slow and too, too something. Didn't like it either. I'll watch the movie once it's in the dollar theater or on dvd. Glad to hear someone else didn't like it either.
